About Us

Mission and Vision

The Muslim Students Association was established by dedicated Muslim students here at Loyola University of Chicago. The MSA is the symbol of unity, brotherhood, and sisterhood among Muslim students of different origin, nationality, ethnicity, and culture with a single belief and faith in one God, the last Prophet and the last and final testament (The Qur’an).

MSA was formed by a group of students with a view:

(i) to introduce Islam, its history, culture and values to Muslims and non-Muslims,
(ii) to promote friendly relations with other religious groups present on campus and,
(iii) to help new Muslim students arriving on campus adapt to the new life and environment and to keep them in touch with people from their own faith and culture.

To fulfill these objectives MSA is actively involved in various religious, social, and recreational activities such as organizing lectures/seminars, exhibitions etc. Social gatherings, picnics, and sports are part of MSA’s regular activities because they serve as a means to promote friendship and understanding among its members.
